There are people with whom you connect, for affinities, for the show of interest, for sympathy... I don't know why but when you look them in the eye, you know it.
Something like this happened to me with the Editor in Chief of Yahoo Style & Entertainment, Anne Borchardt, when she came to visit us with a group of German and Spanish journalists, to learn about the slow fashion crafts we are doing in Mallorca.
Her attention and interest in our bags and all the traditional process behind them, her questions that revealed her curiosity to know more about Antic Mallorca, her interest in learning how to make "llata", the palm braid, and especially her warm look, all these things made us feel very comfortable in the presentation and give us strength to move forward in our effort to keep this craft alive.
Today Anne has published this wonderful article on crafts and slow fashion of Mallorca, in which she talks about some brands of the Mallorca Fashion Collective.

Hay personas con las que conectas, por afinidades, por la muestra de interés, por simpatía... no sé por qué pero cuando les miras a los ojos, lo sabes.
Algo así me ocurrió con la Editor in Chief de Yahoo Style & Entertainment, Anne Borchardt, cuando vino a visitarnos junto a un grupo de periodistas alemanes y españoles, para conocer la artesanía slow fashion que estamos haciendo en Mallorca.
Su atención e interés por nuestros bolsos y todo el proceso tradicional que hay detrás de ellos, sus preguntas que revelaban su curiosidad por saber más de Antic Mallorca, su interés por aprender a hacer "llata", la trenza de palmito, y sobretodo su cálida mirada, nos hicieron sentir muy cómodas en la presentación y nos dan fuerza para seguir adelante en nuestro esfuerzo por mantener viva esta artesanía.
Hoy Anne ha publicado este maravilloso artículo sobre artesanía y la slow fashion de Mallorca, en el que habla de algunas marcas del Colectivo de Moda de Mallorca, eso sí, en alemán ;-)
