This basket is made from palm leaves collected in Mallorca. They are braided by Antonella Farris, the teacher of The School of the Art of Ses Madones de sa Llata, who transmits and preserves the technique of this craftwork that we have learnt from Ses Madones in our school. With a lot of care and without any hurry I have embroidered it by hand with cotton strips during the sunny afternoons by the Pla de Mallorca with happy colors. Possibly that’s why it has some flaws and some virtues that make it so unique.
 
Esta cesta está hecha con hojas de palmito recogidas en Mallorca. Ha sido trenzada y cosida por Antonella Farris, maestra de L'escola de l'art de Ses Madones de sa Llata, en donde transmitimos y mantenemos el oficio que aprendimos de Ses Madones. Con mucho cuidado y ninguna prisa, he bordado la cesta a mano con cintas de algodón de colores felices durante las soleadas tardes del Pla de Mallorca. Seguramente por eso, esta cesta tiene unos fallos y unos aciertos que la hacen única.
